About
Volunteers will assist Centro SOL Summer Scholars to make progress towards their final research project deliverable. Summer Scholars are bilingual high school students from Baltimore's Latinx community who have been selected through a competitive process to participate in a six-week summer program to develop knowledge and skills in the areas of healthcare / research careers, college readiness, professional development, and community engagement.
Scholars present a final research project at the end of the program, and we need volunteers to join us for "Project Office Hours" on Fridays to provide one-on-one assistance to scholars with their projects. Scholars learn research skills through the curriculum and work independently on their projects during the week, but Friday "Office Hours" is their opportunity to get one-on-one assistance. You will be matched with a scholar, who will show you their progress to-date and ask for help revising their work and identifying next steps.
