JHU Take Action

When we volunteer, we are visiting guests in established communities. Please come ready to serve with humility, respect, and an open mind!

As part of our commitment to civic engagement through education, action, and reflection, the Center for Social Concern invites you to participate and volunteer in acts of service this 2021-2022 academic year with our Baltimore community. If you are crunched on time and not able to commit to consistent volunteer days and times, participating in JHU Take Action is the perfect opportunity for you!

Take a study break and serve the Baltimore community! Simply check out the events listed on this page and register. This fall, there are 2 events on Saturday, October 30 (Halloween weekend). Supporting Hospitals Abroad with Resources and Equipment (SHARE), CSC student organization, is also planning a DIY mask making project in November/December. All opportunities are within walking distance from the Homewood Campus. Invite a friend, get involved, and Take Action with our Baltimore community!

We strongly encourage all of our participants to record their impacts and service hours on Hopkins Engage so we can share our collective impact. Students who participate in JHU Take Action this 2021-2022 academic year and log impacts will be invited to an end of year celebration!
