About
This March, the Center for Social Concern is working together with Henderson-Hopkins Partnership School in support of their Food Distribution Program. This Henderson-Hopkins initiative began at the start of the pandemic and has continued on a weekly basis providing food and meals to over 200 local families. Below are the details for JHU students interested in participating in this service opportunity:
- Each Friday in March, there are two shifts on-site at Henderson-Hopkins Partnership School for food packing and food distribution (9:30-11:30 and 11:30-1:30). You can sign-up for one or two shifts per Friday from March 4 - March 25. You can also sign up for more than one week that you'd like to volunteer.
- JHU will be providing free transportation to and from the site (this will only apply in the month of March!). A shuttle will pick-up and drop-off at MSE Library. **NOTE: JHU will only be providing free transportation during March, so make sure you sign-up for the appropriate date!**
- The shuttle for shift #1 will leave MSE Library at 9am and the shuttle for shift #2 will leave MSE Library at 11am. The return shuttle for shift #1 will arrive back to MSE Library at 12pm and the return shuttle from shift #2 will be back at MSE library at 2pm.
- Please note: The registration is a two-step process. Once you register through the JHU Take Action page, it will take you to the Henderson-Hopkins Partnership School's Food Distribution registration. Make sure that your registration date on the Henderson-Hopkins registration page matches your selection on the JHU Take Action registration page. You will need to select a date in March to secure your transportation to/from campus.
