We handed out boxes filled with fruits and vegetables. Additionally, we gave out black and pinto beans, rice, and Maseca corn flour. I also helped moving the heavy wood pallets to the appropriate place.
Despite the cold weather, the volunteers and staff worked hard to unload and sort the produce boxes and non-perishable goods. We likely served over 100 people, showing the importance of these food distributions.
I helped unload and sort fruit and vegetable boxes along with non-perishable items. We served at least 100 people in total. The team worked together well, and we seemed to be very efficient.
Today we packed three-palettes worth of produce boxes, about 180 boxes, with non-perishable goods. The fruits and vegetables together with corn flour, black beans, oil, and salt will help the people we served make nutritious meals for the Thanksgiving holiday.
